10 Days of Gratitude Course & Journal

Scientific evidence overwhelmingly shows that the power of Gratitude benefits just about every area of life — mental, physical, emotional, social and spiritual. Benefits include: more optimism and happiness, stronger personal relationships, less insomnia, stronger immune systems, and increased levels of positive emotions such as joy, enthusiasm, and love.

Fantastic. But what's the best way to "do" gratitude?

I wanted to figure this out so I put together Kickstarter, which was overfunded, and built it. To make it more readily available to all, I just moved it to Udemy.

Gratitude Exercise: 3 Good Things

Why is this important? Because it’s too easy to get lost in the day to day busyness. It’s too easy to get overwhelmed by the challenges in our lives and the state of the world and forget what we are grateful for. But it is important not to forget because the benefits of gratitude help us and those around us.

It's not always easy to take the time to do what we know we need to do, or what we think we should do. Practicing Gratitude is no different. Gratitude works, but you have to remember to do it.… enter, the 10 Days of Gratitude.

I think this immersion experience will be useful and helpful to many people. One of the most common things people talk about is how they want to make a change in their life. But while everybody wants to change, not everybody wants to do the work. People want the muscle but without the training required.

10 Days of Gratitude Course

The course focuses on cultivating a grateful mindset through proven approaches that engage multiple learning styles. Daily lessons, practices, and reflections are provided, as are helpful quotes, tips and stories for encouragement. Do it for 10 days, then when you feel the need for a boost, repeat. If you want to focus on what you learned on Day 5 or Day 9, you can go back and do those.

For those of you who want to know more of the science (me, too :)… The wealth of research on Gratitude over the past 100 years, and especially over last two decades consistently reveals that people who embrace Gratitude experience a multitude of mental, physical, interpersonal, and spiritual benefits. Specifically, Gratitude has been shown to positively contribute to:

  • Improved cardiovascular health

  • Better immune system functioning

  • Improved relationships

  • An increase in positive mood

  • An increase in physical performance

  • Better cognitive performance

  • Better physical exercise habits

  • Better sleep patterns

  • An ability to recover more quickly from illness

  • An increased resilience to trauma

I've been studying this for a long time, but that last one surprised even me. Yet according to Andrew Huberman,

“There are studies showing that a regular gratidue practice can provide reslience to trauma in two ways; it can provide a reframing and resilience to prior traumatic experiences. So, buffering people against the negative physicoligcla effcts of psycholigcal effects of earlier trauma. It also inoculates them in many ways to traumas that might arrive later in life.”

A SPECIAL NOTE ON THE ORIGINAL GRATITUDE MEDALLION
