Barry Patterson is a management consultant with over 17 years of experience creating and developing innovative strategies, services, businesses, and new business opportunities in sustainability. His talks and workshops are broad, imaginative, engaging, and impactful -- and incredibly inspiring.

 

In recent years he has begun integrating bio-inspired design and revitalization thinking and approaches into his work. His experience growing innovative service firms includes founding both for-profit and non-profit sustainability businesses. Barry has also worked in the personal development field, training over 100 MD's, nurses and clinical staff in stress and emotional management. He has worked with and consulted for corporations (from start-ups to Fortune 100 companies), governments, non-profits, and universities. These include: Biomimicry Guild and The Biomimicry Institute, Caribou Coffee, The Climate Project, Greater Charleston GreenMap, Hartmann, Institute of HeartMath, Henkel, HOK, McWane Science Center, Medtronic, Panoz, Push Product Design, Sierra Club, State of Alabama, UAB Medical School, University of Hawaii, U.S. Committee for the United Nations Environmental Program, WD-40, and Yamaha. Barry has a degree in environmental science, with an emphasis in marine biology.
